Lockheed promotes Scott to finance chief

Now-former CFO Jay Malave is leaving the defense giant after three years there. Lockheed Martin has promoted a new chief financial officer in Evan Scott, a 26-year veteran of the company and its treasurer since 2022.

Scott’s appointment takes effect immediately in the wake of now-former CFO Jay Malave’s departure from Lockheed. Malave was in that role for slightly more than three years and is leaving to pursue other opportunities, the company said Thursday.

Scott also works as CFO for two of Lockheed’s business segments in space, and missiles and fire control.

In its announcement of the transition, Lockheed said it plans to reaffirm its 2025 financial guidance in the company’s first quarter earnings call on Tuesday.
